Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy

Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy

The Council on Critical Infrastructure (CCIC) is committed to accuracy, transparency, and editorial integrity in all published research and analysis.

Editorial Independence

All research, analysis, and commentary published by CCIC reflects the independent judgment of our fellows and editorial staff. CCIC does not accept payment for editorial coverage. Institutional funders and partners have no influence over editorial decisions, research conclusions, or publication choices.

Accuracy and Fact-Checking

All articles undergo editorial review prior to publication. Authors are required to cite primary sources, government data, and peer-reviewed research where applicable. Claims are verified against multiple authoritative sources before publication.

Corrections Policy

CCIC is committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. If a factual error is identified after publication, we will issue a correction at the top of the affected article clearly marked “Correction” with the date of the correction and a description of what was changed. We do not silently alter published content. Corrections are permanent and visible to all readers.

To submit a correction or report an error: Contact us at: [email protected]

Author Credentials

All bylined content is attributed to named authors. Author credentials, titles, and institutional affiliations are listed on each article and on our Fellows page. Guest contributors are identified as such.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest relevant to their research. Disclosed conflicts are noted within the article or author biography.
